How to Use the In-Store QR to Collect Reward Points
By OLIN HIVE 6 May 2026 4 min read
Quick answer
Scan the QR code displayed inside the JRM outlet with your phone camera, sign in to your OLIN HIVE account if you have not, and 10 points are added immediately. Each user can scan the same code once a day; a second scan on the same day adds nothing. Collected points can be redeemed at 100 points to RM1.
Key facts
- A QR scan awards 10 points each time.
- Limit of one scan per campaign per user each day.
- An OLIN HIVE account is required to collect points.
- 100 points is worth RM1 on redemption.
- Points expire 12 months after they are awarded.
Where the code is
The QR code is displayed on a poster at the outlet counter and on a stand near the main product shelves. It is the same code everywhere in a given outlet.
How to scan
Open your phone camera and point it at the code. Most modern phones detect QR codes directly through the camera with no extra app.
If your camera does not detect it, open a browser and type the address printed under the code on the poster.
If you do not have an account yet
You are taken to the registration page, and the code is held throughout the process. Once registration completes, points are credited automatically without needing to scan again.
Registration needs a name, phone number and email, and takes under a minute.
The once-a-day limit
Each code can be scanned once a day per account. This is not a technical hurdle that can be bypassed — it is enforced at the database level.
The reason is simple: without that limit, someone could stand in front of the poster scanning until the points meant nothing to anyone.
What the points are actually worth
Ten points is worth ten sen. It is small, and should not be oversold.
The real value comes from the combination: 50 points for every outlet collection, one point per ringgit spent, and 10 points per visit. A monthly customer who collects their own orders accumulates several hundred points a year without trying.
How to redeem
Points are redeemed in the Member Portal under the Reward Points section. Your balance and the full history of every point movement are shown there.
Points expire 12 months after they are awarded, so points collected this January need using before next January.
