OBSB CSR Baiti Syawal Programme, 22 March 2025

Alhamdulillah — on Saturday, 22 March 2025, corresponding to 21 Ramadan 1446H, another meaningful chapter was written in the charitable work of Olin Beauty Sdn. Bhd. (OBSB). With a real spirit of volunteering and in close cooperation with the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), Team OBSB went out to help people facing genuine hardship. This time our mission centred on a family in Kampung Sungai Jai, Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan.

At 7.30am, the OBSB group led by the CEO, Yang Berbahagia Puan Hajah Nazatul Azlin, set off from her home for the house of Puan Nadia, the recipient and host of this welfare programme. Arriving at around 8.30am, OBSB and the Malaysian Armed Forces gathered for a short briefing before starting work.

The mission covered repairs to the house and clearing the grounds around Puan Nadia's home, which had fallen into disrepair and needed attention. Everyone present, volunteers from both sides included, took up their own part of the work capably and in good order.

Seeing the state of the house for ourselves, and the determination with which this family holds on with so little, was genuinely affecting. Behind lives of relative comfort, many may not realise there are people struggling simply to get to tomorrow. We were not there that day to be seen. We were there to share what we feel, what we have, and the affection people owe one another.

More moving still, the programme was given special coverage by TV AlHijrah, who came to film and to interview. During the interview with Puan Hajah Nazatul Azlin and Puan Nadia, the mood turned as Puan Nadia could not hold back her tears of gratitude for the help she had received. It was not only material help, but a lift of hope and fresh spirit for her family.

Once the work was finished, the day continued with a short address from Puan Hajah Nazatul Azlin, who expressed her deep appreciation to everyone who had cooperated, particularly the Malaysian Armed Forces for standing shoulder to shoulder on this mission. As thanks, she presented tokens to ATM and to the volunteers involved. A contribution was also made to Puan Nadia's family to ease the burden on them ahead of Aidilfitri.

Before leaving, everyone shook hands and embraced — a sign that the mission had not simply ended at the location, but had kindled something new in every person involved.
