On Friday, 7 March 2025, corresponding to 6 Ramadan 1446H, OBSB ran a corporate social responsibility programme distributing Sandwich Ikan Lunak at Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar (HTJ), Seremban. It was a Ramadan initiative to reach the people who find themselves in a hospital — patients, visitors and healthcare workers alike.
Preparation began at 11.00am, when all the OBSB staff gathered at the home of the OBSB CEO, Puan Hajah Nazatul Azlin, to make the sandwiches together. Packing was finished by around 1.30pm, and the sandwiches were loaded into two OBSB vehicles.
At around 4.30pm the OBSB group set off for HTJ, arriving at about 5.00pm. After clearing arrangements with the hospital, distribution began at 5.30pm sharp. The OBSB staff were split into several groups to keep the handout orderly.
The gratitude on the faces of those who received them, and the thanks that kept coming, gave the whole OBSB team a lift. The mission of spreading a little kindness and doing some good was carried through: every sandwich had been handed out by 6.30pm.
The programme closed with the group reassembling before heading off to break fast with their own families.
