How the OLIN HIVE CSR Programme Works
By OLIN HIVE 13 March 2026 6 min read
Quick answer
OLIN HIVE community programmes are organised into six categories: upcoming events, booths and collaboration, workshops and training, CSR initiatives, community stories, and women's success stories. Organisations wanting to collaborate can submit a proposal through the Strategic Partner form on the CSR & Community page. Proposals are reviewed within one to two weeks, and the team contacts every applicant whether the proposal is accepted or not.

Six categories and what separates them
Upcoming Events are programmes not yet held and open to participation.
Booths & Collaboration covers presence at carnivals, expos and shopping centres alongside strategic partners.
Workshops & Training are structured sessions with a defined syllabus — entrepreneurship, digital marketing, basic financial management.
CSR Initiatives are programmes that sell nothing: donations, free health screenings, disaster relief.
Community Stories record what happened after a programme ended.
OLIN Women Success Stories follow individual journeys, with real names and locations.
Why these programmes exist
There are two reasons, and both are worth stating.
The first is mission: the OLIN HIVE agent network is mainly women building small businesses, and training plus community support helps them last longer.
The second is commercial: a company known in its local community attracts better agents and keeps customers longer. That is no secret and needs no hiding.
What we look for in a collaboration proposal
Three things. Clarity about who benefits and how. Fit with our audience, which is adult women in Negeri Sembilan and across Malaysia. Feasibility — what each side contributes and who is responsible for what.
The proposals most often declined are those asking for cash sponsorship without explaining what the community receives in return.
What happens after you submit
The form accepts PDF or DOCX attachments up to 10MB. Files are stored outside the site's public directory, so they cannot be reached by guessing a URL.
Review takes one to two weeks. Every applicant is contacted — including those whose proposal is not accepted, because an organisation that spent time writing one deserves an answer.
Collaborations already delivered
Booth collaborations in shopping centres, health screenings with government health clinics, donations to orphanages during Ramadan, flood relief, and entrepreneurship workshops with local women's organisations.
The scale varies. The smallest programme involved twenty participants in a community hall; the largest involved several hundred people.
How individuals can take part
Not every form of participation needs an organisation. Individuals can join open workshops, volunteer at CSR programmes, or share their story for the Community Stories category.
Registration for open events happens through the Programmes & Events page.
